Chaitra Darshan Reddy, Sree Sharan, Ika Raju and R. Saumya emerged winner of the second State Ranking Tennis Tournament played at the Sree Nidhi International School in Hyderabad.
Sree Sharan and Saumya went one better to bag the doubles titles as well. In the boys under 10 years category Darshan dominated B. Arvan throughout the match to clinch a thrilling 8-6 win. Darshan kept the lead over his rival from the start to finish.
Sree Sharan stole the show to grab titles in both Under 12 and Under 14 years categories. In U-12, Sharan eased past Sri Pranav with an 8-1 scoreline. In the U-14 too Sharan dished out a neat performance to seal an 8-3 victory over Siddharth Srinivas.
In the girls section, Saumya made sure she had two titles in her bag. First, she bundled off Srivally in the Under 12 category with a 8-7 verdict. Srivally gave a tough fight but the champion was too strong for her.
Saumya also topped the girls Under 14 category by defeating Malishka with an 8-4 score in the final.
