Hyderabad: A deceptively pleasant day made for some engaging sailing action at the Monsoon Regatta, organised by the Yacht Club of Hyderabad at the Hussainsagar Lake, on Saturday.
Narendra Babu of Indian Navy topped the qualifiers in the Gold Fleet with 10 points. Hyderabad’s Rishabh Nayar, all of 15 years old, is third on 11 points and will battle for the top positions with Narendra, Indian Navy’s Imo Lemnok (second on 11 points) and Nadar Murugan of Mumbai (13).
In the Silver Fleet, Chennai’s Abhimanyu Panwar finished on top with 17 points, followed by city lad Raghavendra, also on 17 points, and international competitors Mark Schamp of Germany (26) and Russia’s Katya Matrioshka (27 points).
