IOA recognises Pavan Reddy faction at its elections

He also sought support for the Government of Andhra Pradesh to ensure successful conduct of the ensuing National Games.

Hyderabad: The Indian Olympic Association’s Election Commission passed orders on Thursday directing the Indian Olympic Association to allow the voting rights of Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association to president C. M. Ramesh and general secretary J. C. Pavan Reddy by restricting voting rights to the rival faction led by Galla Jaydev (MP and president) and R. K. Purushottam (general secretary).

As per the orders, C. M. Ramesh and J. C. Pavan Reddy voted at the Indian Olympic Association’s Annual General Body Meeting and Elections held in New Delhi on Thursday.

After casting his vote, Pavan Reddy appealed to all the State sportspersons, sports associations and District Olympic Associations of Andhra Pradesh to set aside differences and join hands for the overall development of sport in Andhra Pradesh. He also sought support for the Government of Andhra Pradesh to ensure successful conduct of the ensuing National Games.
