My dream is to race in F1: Harrison Newey

The young British driver is now looking forward to the next two rounds of MRF Challenge in India (New Delhi and Chennai).

Dubai: Mick may have been hesitant to use his second name Schumacher initially in his career, owing to his legendary father Michael Schumacher, but for another star child on the track, Harrison Newey being son of well known Formula One engineer, Adrian Newey isn’t much of a problem.

“I want to make my own name. Yes, I know Mick wasn’t using the Schumacher name initially. His father has raced all over and is more well known. In my case it is different, there are more advantages rather disadvantages. It helps you get sponsors and at the end of day every driver is on track with the same equipment is trying to do as good the job as they can,” said the 18-year-old British driver.
Harrison’s dream is to make his mark in F1.

“My dream to race in F1, always has been from young age. I have no made no plans how to be there. I just want to go best in every series and hopefully I will get the opportunity if I am good enough to drive one,” he said.

“After finishing second in the F4 in my first year, I had an up and down 2016 in F3. I am looking forward now to a good next season,” he said. The young British driver is now looking forward to the next two rounds of MRF Challenge in India (New Delhi and Chennai).

“I raced in Chennai last year during the last round of MRF Challenge. I have never raced in Delhi, I was just focusing to do the best job in Dubai now I can prepare for Delhi,” he said.
