Harmeet restricts Himachal

Mumbai, Nov. 18: Himachal Pradesh took what could be a crucial 84-run first innings lead over Mumbai when they bowled out for 246 on the second day of their Ranji Super League match at the Bandra Kurla Complex ground here on Wednesday. In reply, the hosts were 76/0.

Himachal’s last five wickets fell in just 10 overs after lunch as Mumbai’s spinner Iqbal Abdulla and debutant Harmeet Singh took four wickets each.

Sarandeep called for chucking

Himachal Pradesh off-spinner Sarandeep Singh was called for chucking on the second day by leg-umpire Sanjeev Rao in the 24th over of Mumbai’s second innings.

Sarandeep, who was bowling his third over was taken off by skipper Ashok Thakur at the end of the over.
