Harry Kane scores twice as Tottenham secure 3-2 win over beat West Ham United

Tottenham has now won its opening three away games for the first time since the 1991-1992 season.

London: Harry Kane scored twice as 10-man Tottenham held off a West Ham comeback Saturday to maintain its perfect away record with a 3-2 victory in the Premier League.

Christian Eriksen appeared to have sealed victory just before the hour mark after Kane's first-half double had put Spurs in control. But headers from Javier Hernandez and Cheikhou Kouyate either side of Serge Aurier's dismissal ensured an uncomfortable finale for the visitors.

Tottenham has now won its opening three away games for the first time since the 1991-1992 season. It also matched a club-record equaling run of five successive away Premier League wins, stretching back to the end of its previous campaign.
Tottenham took the lead in the 34th at the London Stadium after Eriksen put Dele Alli through on the right. Alli provided a perfect cross for Kane to head in via the post.

Just four minutes later the lead was doubled as Alli once more got in behind the West Ham defense. Alli's shot was saved by Joe Hart but the ball fell straight for Kane who tapped into an empty net.

The game appeared to be over in the 59th when Eriksen found the bottom corner from the edge of the box just moments after Kane had been denied a hat trick when his free kick struck the post.

The woodwork thwarted Kane again minutes later as his shot from a tight angle on the left hit the post with a deflection off Hart's boot.West Ham was rewarded for its persistence as Hernandez headed in from close range at the back post after Jose Fonte's flick on.

The hosts were given further hope when Aurier was sent off after picking up his second yellow card in quick succession with 20 minutes remaining.Despite Mauricio Pochettino's attempts to shore up Tottenham with the introduction of Harry Winks and Kieran Trippier, West Ham pulled another goal back.

In the 87th substitute Arthur Masuaku's inviting cross was met by Kouyate's powerful header at the back post, but Tottenham held on to claim three points.
After six games, Tottenham has 11 points, seven more than West Ham at the other end of the table.
