Chelsea legend John Terry disgusted with Indian tobacco brand Gold Flake, here's why

The Aston Villa centre-back is displeased with the Indian company.

London: Chelsea legend John Terry has always been in the news, be it for the activities on the field or off the field. The England centre-back is currently engaged in the EFL Championship with Aston Villa after his contract with the London club came to a halt.

However, the 36-year-old was left fuming on Thursday after finding out that Indian tobacco brand Gold Flake had used his blurred image on their cover packaging as a representation with the tag ‘smoking kills’.

The Aston Villa defender soon took to social media platform Instagram and hit back at Gold Flake, stating he hated smoking.

However, this isn’t the first instance where the Blues skipper has taken action against the tobacco company. In 2012, Terry was made aware of the fact that his image was being used in the cover packaging, but the player’s management group stated that no permission was given to the Indian brand.

The investigation into the matter soon turned stale and things continued as it were, before Terry found out again that no action had been taken.

Football isn’t the only thing that Terry seems to focus on currently. Off late, the former Chelsea player has been spending time improving his golfing skills.
