Alexis Sanchez will be in for a weird but pleasant surprise when he takes to the pitch ahead of Arsenal’s match with Burnley on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.
When Sanchez walks out from the tunnel and onto the pitch on the weekend, he may well notice a banner of himself cuddling his two dogs, Atom and Humber. Arsenal took to Instagram on Friday afternoon to post a photo of the new banner at the Emirates. They captioned the photo: ‘There’s a new banner at #EmiratesStadium for Sunday’s game.’ Arsenal fan group REDaction, who work to improve the atmosphere in the stadium, proposed the playful idea. Now their wish has come true and Arsenal fans inside the stadium on Sunday will be able to get a first look at the new design, which reads ‘Good Boys’. However, as expected, it has been met with a mixed reception from the Arsenal faithful.
Sanchez is not afraid to show his puppy love for his pair of Labradors. He has previously taken his dogs to training, starred in a bizarrely intimate Chilean dog food advert and posted a Phil Collin.
