Futsal seems to be a mini vacation for legends like Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Ronaldinho, who are clearly enjoying their stay in the city thus far and making the most of it. Giggs and Scholes said it is their first visit to India and they are already in love with the country. As both of them played together for a number of years for Manchester United, they say that they’re excited to get back to action again.
The players rocked a popular nightclub in the city on Thursday night, and even shook a leg or two and had a fun time. Ronaldinho, who was exploring the city in a Rolls-Royce, looked all bling, while Giggs was spotted in a casual attire.
We even hear that a few of the players have expressed their wish to do a little temple tour of sorts and check out Chennai’s landmarks on the outskirts of the city! Practice session started very slowly only on Thursday afternoon, as the players were recovering from jet lag. With the tournament all set to kickstart Friday, AR Rahman will be enthralling the crowd on the opening night.
