India - Australia T20 ticket sale on

The night game begins at 7 pm on Friday and gates will be open at 5 pm.

Hyderabad: Tickets for the third and final Twenty20 between India and Australia to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on October 13 will go on sale from Saturday.

Fans can log on to the ticketing agency’s website www.eventsnow.com for online bookings that start at 11 am, while retail counters at Gymkhana grounds and NSL Infratech where about 15 per cent of tickets from select stands would be sold, will run from October 7 till match-day or until seats last. The night game begins at 7 pm on Friday and gates will be open at 5 pm.

Tickets are priced at Rs 800, Rs 1,000, Rs 500, Rs 5,000, Rs 7,500 and Rs 12,500. Then there are 35 Corporate Boxes (holding 20 seats each) priced at Rs 2.5 lakh (in the Northern Pavilion) and Rs 4 lakh (in the Southern Pavilion).

“These rates are inclusive of GST. However, fans will be charged about 5 per cent extra for online bookings,” Hyderabad Cricket Association secretary T. Sheshnarayan said.

Explaining the procedure, Events Now senior manager Sudheer said: “Post the confirmation, a booking ID will be generated for the purchasers, who will have to produce the same at the retail counters to claim their tickets, between October 7 and 13. Ticket seekers will be required to furnish copies of identification documents (Aadhar card/ PAN card/ Voter ID card/ Driving Licence/ Passport) at the time of booking. Only six tickets would be allowed per ID.”

Sheshnarayan said the tickets were fortified by a slew of security features such as Infused Colour Paper, VOID, UV Invisible Ink, Bar Code and Micro Line to prevent fraud by unscrupulous elements.

Also, complimentary tickets this time have a subtle twist. “We are making a request to the beneficiaries to contribute '2,000 per ticket to the Telangana Cricket Development Fund, which will be used to promote the game in rural areas,” Shesh said.

The HCA has also gained extra ground for parking. “Additional parking space has been secured at NSL Infratech (for about 350 cars) and Christ The King Church near the stadium,” Shesh informed.
