Hyderabad: A. R. Satwick, S. K. Majeed hit centuries; M. Pradeep performed well with both the bat and the ball while, Khaja Mudassir, V. L. Sashank, Prateek Sehgal, Mohammed Zaki, K. Rakesh, S. Bhanu, Prafull Kumar, Sumeet Joshi, Pavan Reddy, Susikshit Reddy, Nitesh and Trishank Gupta were bowlers who came up with brilliant performances at Hyderabad Cricket Association’s two-day league matches.
M. Pradeep of Adilabad district hit an unbeaten 110 off 144 balls with six boundaries and four sixes to his credit to help his team post 263 for 5 in 48 overs. Later, he also took five wickets while conceding 49 runs to consign Megacity to defeat.
Khaja Mudassir of Mahmood CC snared eight HUCC wickets while giving away just 30 runs to bowl them out for a paltry 94 in reply to Mahmood CC’s 265 for 8.
In another match, V. L. Sashank of Balaji CC took six wickets of Zinda Tilismath while conceding 31 runs to bowl them out for 106 in reply to Balaji’s 286.
Prateek Sehgal of Sri Chakra was the other bowler who performed exceptionally well. He scalped seven wickets to limit Pasha Beedi to 128 in 39 overs.
Satwick was the other centurion. He hit 102 not out as Oxford Blues made 184 for 6 in 42 overs and then bowled out Elegant for 142.
S. K. Majeed and Mohammed Zaki put up a splendid show for Nalgonda District. Zaki took five wickets to restrict Apex CC to 192 in 41.5 overs. Majeed then hit 105 with 16 boundaries as Nalgonda replied with 194 for 5 in 42.2 overs.
Team Telangana’s K. Rakesh and S. Bhanu took five wickets each to bowl their side to victory over WMCC, for whom Prafull Kumar also took a five-for. Replying to Telangana’s 160, WMCC were all out for 151.
In another match, Nitesh took five wickets for 31 runs for Brothers XI who beat Raju CC by seven wickets. Susikshit Reddy of PKMCC also got five wickets although his team lost to MCC. Other bowlers took five-fors were Warangal’s Pavan Reddy (5 for 63), Sumeet Joshi (5 for 30) of Osmania and Charminar’s Trishank Gupta (5 for 26).
