Col CK Nayudu Trophy: Rohith Reddy hits ton, Tanay Thyagarajan picks two

Hyderabad: Leading Hyderabad’s charge against Chhattisgarh, P. Rohith Reddy dished out clinical performance with his unbeaten 124 which amassed 483 in the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy cricket match played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad.

Rohit’s emphatic knock played a crucial role to heap up a huge score for visitors. The right-handed bastman made 124 in 253 balls which comprised eight boundaries and six maximums. Also Hyderabad’s Tanay Thyagarajan displayed all-round show with his impressive contribution of 96 runs and later picked two wickets while conceding 31 runs. The left-handed batter’s innings came off 196 balls which included 13 fours.

After wrapping up Hyderabad for 483 as S. V. Thakur picked three wickets, Chhattisgarh got onto the ground with hoopla but the visitors calmed down as they lost wickets. As a result, at stumps Chhattisgarh were 138/3 with Md. Irfan and Sanheet Desai batting on 19 and 41 respectively.
