Twitter trolls Steve Smith's Australia after failed review against Manish Pandey

The ball had pitched outside leg before brushing Pandey's pads and going past the keeper for a leg bye.

Bengaluru: Australia beat India by 21 runs in the 4th ODI match played at M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday. Team India's batting chased down the target with ease in the 3rd ODI in Indore failed to do the same in Bengaluru as Australia came back strong in to win their first match of the series.

The Bengaluru ODI witnessed a high scoring game between both the sides, as batsman went on a scoring spree on a wicket that helped batsman. Australia’s bowling which has been under pressure throughout the series finally manage to click in the 4th ODI as bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals.

There was one moment in the match where Australia skipper Steve Smith decided to review an LBW decision on Manish Pandey’s wicket, but the review was unsuccessful by a long way.

The incident occurred during the second ball of the 42nd over. Adam Zampa who was bowling to Manish Pandey bowled the ball down the leg side, Pandey tried to clip the ball but it brushed his pads and went past the keeper for a leg bye. Smith waited too long before opting for the review.

TV Replays showed that there was no bat involved and the Ball Tracker showed that the ball had pitched outside leg. Fans on social media took a dig at the Australian captain for his foolish review.
