Hyderabad: Saketh Sai Ram, Gannu Sadhan and Ashwin Yadav claimed five-wicket hauls each while Chandan Sahani smashed a big double century to take Day Two honours on Wednesday in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s Three-Day league matches being played in the city.
In a group ‘B’ match, Vikram Naik and Chandan Sahani, who were on 140 and 155 respectively at the end of Day One’s play, began from where they left against MP Colts. Though Vikram failed short of 15 runs for his double century, Chandan held his nerves and tonked a massive 283 in 222 balls with the use of 33 fours and 15 sixes. After their solid batting performances, Evergreen declared on a massive 610 for 6 in 123 overs. In reply, Colts were reeling at 185 for 5 from 50 overs at stumps.
In a group ‘A’ match against Dayanand CC, Income Tax were bowled out for 556 after Shadaab Tumbi’s fine 188-run innings. In reply, though Anshul Lal (100) and Y. Chaitanya Krishna (104) led Dayanand CC’s charge from their composed centuries but could not stop their side from slipping as they were 228 for 6 from 60 overs at the end of day’s play.
Meanwhile, P. Saketh Sai Ram (6/117, Jai Hanuman), Gannu Sadhan (5/114, BDL), Ashwin Yadav (5/34, EMCC), Askari (104, Ensconse) were other top performers.
