Vidath, Sk Mohammed and Syed Ahmed and were among the clutch of performers who did well during Monday’s action at the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s top division league matches here. Abhirath led the batting honours with a big century. His 160 bolstered Gemini Friends as they replied to BDL’s 82 with 364 for 4 on the first day of their three-day match.
Ensconse mediumpacer Muddasir was the next best on show. He took 6 for 56 as Charminar were bowled out for 160 despite Sk Mohammed’s 108. Amol Shinde also took six wickets. The Andhra Bank off-spinner snared 6 for 96 to restrict Deccan Chronicle to 238 for 9. Cambridge XI had two performers. S. Vikrant (122 batting) and off-spinner Syed Ahmed (5 for 38) as they edged ahead against Income Tax.
Benjamin Thomas was the other centurion. The right-hander was batting on 104 as EMCC reached 179 for 3 in 60 overs in their match against AOC. Left-arm spinner Muzzamil (5 for 35) of Jai Hanuman and R Dayanand pacer Vidath (5 for 84) were the others who impressed.
