New Delhi: Brendon McCullum is well known for his exploits with the bat, and behind the stumps. However, the former New Zealand cricket captain showed off some vivacious rugby skills, while training a local team, in New Delhi, on Wednesday.
McCullum, who had played both cricket and rugby as a kid, had famously kept All Blacks legend Dan Carter out of the school team.
The 35-year-old is currently touring India as a part of New Zealand Prime Minister John Key’s diplomatic team.
During this diplomatic mission, McCullum got the chance to show some rugby tricks to the Delhi Rebels Rugby team, who were clearly amazed at the cricketer’s skills in the sport.
According to The Indian Express, McCullum expressly showed the Indian rugby players how to throw a spiral ball, an extremely difficult move.

The ex-New Zealand skipper also exhibited great expertise, as he showed the Delhi Rebels how to catch a spiral ball, which according to McCullum is more difficult to do.
While McCullum denies that he was good enough to play for the New Zealand rugby team, the skills he exhibited could leave many wondering whether the former wicketkeeper batsman was just being modest.
