Ashwad Rajiv, K. Hanumanthu and Rohit Yadav were the best bowlers on show while N. Sathwik Reddy and Vignesh Reddy scored a century each in their respective matches in the one-day cricket league conducted by the Hyderabad Cricket Association in the city.
Ashwad picked 9 for 48 in vain as CK Blues lost to St Patrick’ns by 69 runs.
Taking first strike, St Patrick’s posted a decent 246 on the board despite Ashwad’s mindbogglingly impressive spell where he acocounted for nine of their batsmen.
In reply, CK Blues began the chase on a steady enough note but Rohit’s 6 for 41 proved decisive as the Blues were out for 177. Elsewhere, Sathwik smashed 168 to fire All Saints (319 for 8) to a nailbiting four-run victory over ML Jaisimha.
In another game, Vignesh scored an unbeaten 103 as LNCC defeated Yadav Dairy (248 for 4) by three wickets.
In another match, Rahul and D. Sandeep Goud picked five wickets each on either side of the fence. Taking first strike, Picket CC crumbled to 158 all out as Shanthi XI’s Rahul scalped 5 for 35. In reply, Sandeep took 5 for 25 as Shanthi collapsed for just 108 runs.
Meanwhile, Naveen Kumar K. bagged 5 for 15 as Tarakarama (339 for 7) crushed Starlets by 297 runs.
