IPL 9, Qualifier 2, SRH vs GL: 5 players to watch out

Both the teams will look to challenge RCB in the final on Sunday.

Mumbai: The road to the IPL final will be tussle between two good teams in this season; Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Lions (GL). Both teams will lock horns against each other for a maiden place in the grand finale against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Let’s have a look at the player who can make a difference in tonight’s encounter.

David Warner

SRH captain has been the leading run-getter for his team scoring 686 runs in the cash-rich league this season. The hard hitter will look to attack the likes of Praveen Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni and Ravindra Jadeja. GL skipper Suresh Raina will want his bowlers to get the Australian out early on.

Dwayne Smith

Dwayne Smith, another strike force of GL, has performed decently throughout the tournament and his team will be hoping that his good form continues. He scored 73 (57) in the last match against RCB albeit for a losing cause. But he still remains a key player in Raina’s army.

Dhawal Kulkarni

GL bowler Kulkarni was not in a happy mood despite being selected in the Indian team for the tour of Zimbabwe. He couldn’t win the match for GL even after his sensational spell of 4/14 which included the precious wicket of Virat Kohli. He will be the bowler to watch out for today.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

SRH bowler has claimed 21 wickets and is the Purple Cap holder. The Uttar Pradesh lad is swinging the bowl both ways making the batsmen struggle against him.

Mustafizur Rahman

The left-arm seamer picked up 16 wickets and his cutters and solid economy-rate makes him the skipper’s go-to man in the death overs. If he can pick up the likes of Smith and Raina early, the match belongs to SRH.
