Stunning! Aussie club cricketer Aled Carey scalps 2 hat-tricks in an over

Aled Carey claimed a wicket in each delivery of his over in a Ballarat Cricket Association fourth-team fixture match in Victoria.

Mumbai: It’s a bowler’s dream to take a hat-rick in a cricket match, but Australian club cricketer Aled Carey went one step further to pull-off an extremely rare feat.

Carey claimed a wicket in each delivery of his over in a Ballarat Cricket Association fourth-team fixture match in Victoria.

The Golden Point Cricket Club bowler, who was unable to take a wicket in his first eight overs against East Ballarat, changed the scenario in his ninth over as he took six wickets in the over. His initial hat-trick was a catch in slips, a catch by the wicket-keeper and then an LBW, before three victims being bowled.

East Ballarat were bowled out for 40, and the bowler is "amazed" with his own performance.

“I was shocked and overwhelmed. I still can not believe it. I'm very happy”, Carey said. “My dad was present at the time and saw the whole thing. He was very happy and proud for me.”

When asked- what he believes is more difficult- hitting six sixes in an over or grabbing six wickets in six balls, Carey says, “well I would probably say they are equal because they are very hard things to do, you don't see either done very often but yes, taking six wickets in six balls is rather uncommon.”

Carey started playing at the age of nine and has represented Golden Point Cricket Club for 14 years.
