C. Nilesh Kumar, Sahendra Mallu, C. Naga Narsimham, K. Ashish, D. Ravinder and R. K. Vignesh were the impressive peformers in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s two-day league matches held in Hyderabad.
Topping the charts was off-spinner Nilesh, who returned with a match haul of 12 wickets for Elegant CC in a Plate division Pool ‘B’match. Nilesh snared 7 for 32 in the first innings and followed it up with 5 for 36 in the second to push Raju CC to the brink. The team however escaped with a draw.
Mediumpacer Sahendra Mallu and Naga Narsimham were the next best with six wickets each. Sahendra took 6 for 64 as Oxford Blues drew their match with HUCC.
Naga Narsimham took the joy out of Cheerful Chums by felling six of them for a mere 30 runs but the effort went in vain as Classic CC lost the match. There were other performers in the match though. K. Charan of Classic took 5 for 44 in Chums’ first innings while Ravinder (5 for 27) and Vignesh (5 for 38) shared the spoils in Classic’s first innings.
Ashish of Galaxy CC was the other performer. He took 5 for 42 in a drawn encounter with Postal.
