Moin-Ud-Dowlah Gold Cup: Tons for Tanmay, Naman; Kamran bowls brilliantly

Naman's unbeaten knock came in 149 balls and comprised 14 boundaries and eight maximums.

Hyderabad: Tanmay Agarwal, S.K. Kamranuddin and Naman Ojha came up with top notch performances to hog the spotlight on Thursday in the All India Coromandel Moin-Ud-Dowlah Gold Cup cricket tournament being played at different grounds.

At Gymkhana grounds, HCA XI piled a mammoth 354 with the help of Tanmay’s 131 and succeeded in wrapping up C&AGS for a lowly 191 to seal a 163-run victory. The left-handed batsmen’s belligerent knock came in 127 balls and was ebellished with five boundaries and five sixes. Besides Tanmay, P. Akshath Reddy and K. Sumanth contributed 80 and 73 respectively.

In the bowling departmnent, Syed Mehdi Hasan trapped three batsmen while C.V. Milind and Mudassir Hussain scalped two wickets apiece for HCA XI.
In another match at RRC, Andhra Colts rode on mediumpacer Kamranuddin who picked six wickets to bundle Vidharbha for a mere 125 and clinch an 82-run win — batting first, Andhra had set a target of 208. Kamran conceded 29 runs in the nine overs that he bowled.

In another match played at ECIL ground, Air India’s Naman Ojha scored an emphatic 165 not out to guide his side to a 17-run win by VJD method against HCA President’s XI. Batting first, HCA President’s XI made 284/7 which Air India succeeded in chasing in 45.1 overs. Naman’s unbeaten knock came in 149 balls and comprised 14 boundaries and eight maximums.
