Mumbai: Team India’s new entrant Faiz Fazal was in England where he got the ‘good news’ of his inclusion in the squad for the tour of Zimbabwe.
Speaking exclusively, he said, “To be honest, I had not anticipated my inclusion in the side this time. Yes, I was hoping for my turn some few years ago but was disappointed when I was not chosen. I therefore had stopped hoping and decided only to concentrate on performing.”
Fazal is currently in England playing North East Premier league for Hetton Lyons Cricket Club. “My dad telephoned to me and I was pleasantly surprised.”
Amazing feeling, says Chahal:
Haryana and Royal Challengers Bangalore leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal expected a India call-up.
“I am performing well (in the domestic matches) but had thought selectors might pick me...Once I saw the news on TV and twitter account, it felt amazing. This is my maiden call and I am happy”, Yuzvendra said.
