Video: Jos Buttler whips off his towel to celebrate Mumbai Indians' IPL Final triumph

Jos Buttler may not have been with the Mumbai Indians squad during the final, but he was eagerly following the game on his TV set.

When Rising Pune Supergiant batsman Manoj Tiwary smashed a boundary off the first ball of the penultimate over of the IPL 2017 final against Mitchell Johnson, it looked all over for the Mumbai Indians. Pune required just seven runs off the last five deliveries.

What followed, was a brilliant exhibition of how to bowl to a set field, under immense pressure by an Aussie paceman, who has won everything there is to win in the game of cricket.

Mumbai Indians ended up winning the game and the Indian Premier League trophy by a single run.

MI wicketkeeper batsman Jos Buttler may not have been with the squad during the final, but he was with them in spirit, and was eagerly following the match on television.

While RPS needed four runs off the last ball to win the game, Daniel Christian struck it on the leg side and signalled Washington Sundar to run for three, which would tie the game. However, Parthiv Patel received a throw and whipped off the bails before that could happen, sending Jos Buttler into ecstasy.

The Englishman jumped up in front of his TV set in joy, and whipped off his towel, which was the only thing that he was wearing.
