Bengaluru: The festival of colours — Holi is celebrated with great pomp and joy across the subcontinent. And Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni could not miss out on the action.

Dhoni was seen playing holi with some of his greatest fans on Tuesday. Sudhir Gautam and Ram Babu, who were given access to the Indian team bus, met Dhoni and applied gulal powder on his forehead.

Despite heavy security, according to media reports, ‘Captain Cool’ allowed the two fans to apply colour and celebrate the joyous festival that is celebrated on the last full moon of the lunar month at the end of the winter season. India celebrates Holi on Thursday.

The two fans are ardent followers of the Indian cricket team are always seen waving the tri-colour and blowing bugles and conches when the ‘Men in Blue’ take the field.

Team India will face Bangladesh at M Chinnaswamy stadium, here on Wednesday in the ICC World T20. Dhoni and Co will have to notch up a win if they want to progress further in the tournament.

After their shocking loss to New Zealand in the Super 10 opener, India bounced back to emerge triumphant over arch-rivals Pakistan at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.

New Zealand have already qualified after their win against Pakistan on Tuesday night.

Team India will enter the clash as huge favourites having defeated ‘The Tigers’ recently the last time the two sides faced each other in the Asia Cup final in Mirpur on March 6.
