Hyderabad: Divesh Singh, Wasil Sartaj, N. Vamshi Krishna and R. Vishnu Chaitanya were top performers in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s second rung two-day league action.
There were no big shows from the top division three-day league, in which most of the matches were even washed out due to wet ground conditions. Divesh Singh turned in an allround show. The left-handed opener scored 74 before taking a match haul of 10 wickets — 3 for 46 and 7 for 61 in the two innings with his off-spinners — to bowl Rohit XI to an innings and 88-run victory over Jai Bhagwathi.
Earlier, one-down batsman Wasil Sartaj slammed a 143-ball 179 which included 29 boundaries and six sixes as Rohit XI declared at 461 for 5.
In another match, left-arm spinner Vamshi Krishna turned in a brilliant spell to take 5 wickets while giving away just 19 runs as Venus Cybertech drew their game against Brothers XI. Vishnu Chaitanya of Khalsa CC was the other performer. He took 5 for 66 in a drawn match with Zinda Tilismath.
