Hyderabad: A. Varun Goud scored a composed century on Day One as Hyderabad batting unit could not fire as a whole and were bowled out for 225 against Uttar Pradesh in their Round III Cooch Behar Trophy match being played in Hyderabad. Opting to bat, the home side batters couldn’t do much at the crease except Varun who made a 208-ball 103 with the help of 11 fours and two sixes.
Hyderabad managed to reach 225 before being bowled out in the 83rd over. Kunal Yadav (4/48) was the top bowler for the visitors. Later, Uttar Pradesh lost their opener Aryan Sharma for 9 who was caught by Pragnay Reddy off C. Rakshann Readdi. The visiting side finished the day at 26 for 1, still trailing by 199 runs, when the stumps were drawn.
