When 'scary' Hardik Pandya made KL Rahul anxious in front of Virat Kohli
Mumbai: Team India batsman KL Rahul shares a great camaraderie with Hardik Pandya, on and off the field. During India’s recent tours, the duo has bonded really well and are often spotted together on multiple occasions.
The Karnataka batsman who appeared on Vikram Sathaye’s What the Duck 3 along with Ravichandran Ashwin, disclosed a incident where the Baroda all-rounder almost scared him in front of captain Virat Kohli.
“It is scary to hang out with Hardik Pandya. There was a time before a match, me, him and Dinesh Karthik headed out to clear our minds. The next day, he spilled everything to Virat Kohli,” Rahul said.
The 26-year-old further added that Pandya did not have a sense of what to say when.
“I became scared and asked him why would he go ratting up to the captain! He does not know what to say when. He has no filter,” he continued.
This is not the first instance where a player spoke about Pandya’s carefree behaviour. Earlier, Kohli also spoke about how the Mumbai Indians star would not think before speaking.
“Pandya doesn’t think before speaking. Once he wanted to take Ash’s (Ashwin) name but he ended up saying - ‘Ravikashyap Ashwin kya bowling karta hai yar’. He is very good at heart but he doesn’t have any control over his tongue,” he said in the show Breakfast with Champions.
