IPL 2018 auction: Base price of players revealed, bidding war to get intense
Mumbai: The player’s auction for 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is just around the corner. Around 1,122 cricketers who have registered themselves for the auction will go under the hammer when the event will take place in Bengaluru on January 27 and 28
Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Gautam Gambhir will lead the list of Indian players during the auction, while Ben Stokes, Chris Gayle, Rashid Khan and Joe Root will lead the list of Foreign players
According to reports in ESPNCricinfo West Indies explosive batsman Chris Gayle, all- rounder Kieron Pollard, England all-rounder Ben Stokes has set their base price at Rs 2 crore. Australian pace spearhead Mitchell Starc, Afghanistan sensational spinner Rashid Khan and former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum have also set their base price in the same bracket.
From the Indian contingent Team India players R Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Yuzvendra Chahal are placed in the highest price bracket.
