New Delhi: The rain played spoilsport during the 3rd T20 match between India and New Zealand played at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Heavy showers ensured a frustrating day for fans, while players stayed indoors for a couple of hours.
While the ground staff was busy making preparations to get the ground ready after the rain stopped, players in the dressing room played their own match to keep themselves busy.
On Wednesday Guptill took to Instagram account to post a video of all four players engaged in the game. He captioned it saying: “What do you do in a rain delay? Play soccer volleyball with @tombruce42 @mahi7781 and @manishpandeyinsta
The match finally resumed with 8 over’s per side. New Zealand Skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and asked India to bat first. The men in blue finished with 67 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. New Zealand batsman struggled to get going as Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly to win the game by 6 runs and clinch the T20 series 2-1.
