Stepped down from ODI, T20 captaincy, Mahendra Singh Dhoni posts a workout video

Dhoni is yet to say a word about his decision to step down from India's limited-overs captaincy.

Mumbai: While BCCI issued a media release, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is yet to say a word about his decision to step down as India’s limited-over skipper. The Jharkhand maverick, who powered India to three ICC trophy triumphs, has not posted anything about his decision to relinquish limited-overs captaincy on his social media accounts either.

While Dhoni is no longer India’s captain, he is picked in the squad for the three-match ODI series and three Twenty20s against England and will be leading India A in the first warm-up game against Eoin Morgan-led unit.

While his wife Sakshi, amongst millions others, took to Twitter to laud, Dhoni’s efforts as India’s captain, India’s World Cup-winning skipper did not say a word about his decision to step down from captaincy and instead posted a video of his workout session.

India, who won the five-match Test series against England, will commence the limited-overs leg of the series as Virat Kohli, who captains India’s Test team, leads Team India as a full-time ODI and T20 captain for the first time in Pune on January 15.
