Hyderabad juniors fail to impress

The U-16 side too could not do much at Gymkhana grounds.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Under 23 team lost their Col C. K. Nayudu Trophy match to Gujarat while the Under 16 team conceded the first innings lead to Karnataka in their drawn encounter on Sunday.

For Gujarat rode on Kathan Patel’s century (157 in 273 balls) to notch 350 in their second innings. Hyderabad could manage just 109 and 85 in their two innings at their home ground of Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

Right-arm mediumpacer Tejas Patel ran through the Hyderabad innings with impressive figures of 5 for 16.
