Samuels scored an unbeaten 85-run knock but it was Carlos Brathwaite's four consecutive sixes in the last over that nailed it.

Kolkata: Marlon Samuels' unbeaten 85-run knock and Carlos Brathwaite's four consecutive sixes sealed the win as Darren Sammy and the Caribbean boys are the Champions of World T20 2016 beating England by 4 wickets in the final here at Eden Gardens on Sunday.

19th over: WI 137-6 (Samuels 85, Brathwaite 10)

Jordan shines! Chris Jordan kept his cool and now West Indies need 19 runs from the last over to clinch the crown.

18th over: WI 129-6 (Samuels 79, Brathwaite 8)

Willey carries on good bowling! David Willey's tight lines making life difficult for West Indies batsmen.

Buttler smashes it! Jos Buttler clobbered back-to-back sixes as this over turned out to be a good one for England. 16 runs from it.

Buttler gets into action! Jos Buttler is giving his partner Root good support as both the English batmen engage in damage control after Samuel Badree ran havoc in the initial overs.

Root rises up! England will have to rely heavily on Joe Root, who is slowly looking to build a partnership with Jos Buttler.

Badree really bowling well! Samuel Badree struck yet again as England in major trouble. Skipper Morgan departed for just 5 runs.

Badree strikes first blood! Jason Roy, who terrorised New Zealand bowling attack in the first semifinal was clean bowled by Samuel Badree. Roy departed without scoring.

West Indies, who were marred by administrative issues back home ahead of the mega event, have done a remarkable job to shut up their critics.

England, on the other hand, have done their bit to come up a long way since their disastrous showing in the last ICC event in Australia and New Zealand.

Although West Indies are sentimental favourites to beat England, the youthful English side can’t be taken lightly as the teams fight it out to be the first side to win the ICC World Twenty20 title twice.
