Watch: MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh go on a rampage against England in Bengaluru T20

While Yuvraj Singh slammed 27 off 10 balls, MS Dhoni scored 56 off 36 balls as India scored 202 runs against England.

Bengaluru: As they took field in the third and final Twenty20 of the series against England, India were under the scanner after a couple of thoroughly unconvincing performances in the first two T20 internationals.

The batting line-up in particular, was under immense pressure after the Men in Blue failed to cross the 150-run mark in the first two games.

However, the senior batsmen finally stepped up their game as Virat Kohli-led side posted a massive total of 202 for 6 in 20 overs.

While Suresh Raina (63 from 45 balls) gave India the kick-start they needed after Kohli’s early departure, Yuvraj Singh (27 from 10 balls) and MS Dhoni (56 from 36 balls) made sure India finish on a high.

During the post-match presentation of the match that India swept away by 75 runs, captain Kohli singled out the 18th over of the match, when Yuvraj Singh went on an absolute rampage, that evoked memories of the 2007 ICC World T20 Super 8s match between India and England, where the southpaw struck six 6s in an over against Stuart Broad.

While Yuvraj did not exactly hit 36 off the 18th over on Wednesday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, his explosive batting helped the home side score 24 from the Chris Jordan over, something that Kohli believes, was the turning point of the match.

Dhoni, who came out to bat at number four after KL Rahul’s departure, did his usual best – stole some singles before hitting some big shots.
