Team India captain Virat Kohli is the most popular cricketer on social media, according to the research done by ClanConnect.ai, India’s first and only AI-driven influencer marketing platform.

Rounding up the year 2020, ClanConnect.aihas revealed the top 1000 Instagram influencers in India.
According to the data mapped, power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are currently enjoying royalty status as influencers. While cricketing sensation Kohli has the highest number of followers at 81 million, his wife and Bollywood queen Anushka boasts of the greatest engagement rate in the country, surpassing even PM Narendra Modi.
Virat Kohli leads in terms of followers, while MS Dhoni drives the highest engagement rate among male influencers while Anushka Sharma drives highest engagement rate in India.
Surprisingly, however, Kohli was thwarted in terms of engagement by MS Dhoni who boasts an engagement rate of 10.98% as opposed to Kohli’s 1.84%. With 50 million followers, PM Narendra Modi is the second most popular Instagram influencer in India.
