Bowlers tested the nerves of batsmen by dominating them in various matches of the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s one-day league matches played in the city.
A pool ‘B’ match between Lal Bahadur P.G. and Adams XI turned out to be an absolute thriller.
Batting first, Lal Bahadur’s batsmen couldn’t produce fine knocks and fell one after the other only to see their side’s innings wrapped up for a mere 76. Tejus picked 4/19 while Rohit contributed with his 3 for 6.
In the latter half, Harsh Agarwal turned the course of the match by trapping seven batters through his economical bowling spell and bowled out Adams XI for 73 to guide Lal Bahadur to a 2-run victory.
In a pool ‘C’ match, Yadav Dairy’s D. Madhu Naik and Meeth Srivastava shared 10 wickets equally to corner Southend Raymonds.
Batting first, Raymonds side scored 59 before being bowled out in the 20th over. Madhu picked 5 for 16 while Meeth too claimed five wickets at the cost of 25 runs.
In reply Yadav Dairy chased down Raymonds’ 59 in 15 overs with six wickets in hand.
Meanwhile, Naveen (6/15, Tirumala CC), Nadeem (6/20, Red Hills), Chandu (5/16, Azad CC), Anand (5/33, Ameerpet CC), Saketh (5/25, Hyderabad Patriots), C.S. Neroop Sai (5/64, Greenlands CC), Dhruv Krishna (5/20, Mahaveer CC), S.K Faizan Ali (5/38, Acrylic CC), Vasi (5/28, Hyderabad Panthers), Bharath Kumar (5/21, Lal Bahadur CC), and Rafiq 5/25 of Youngmasters were other bowlers who came out on top by dishing out good performance with the ball.
In another group ‘C’ match, Ramu of Walkertwon scored 102 while Sandeep scored 50 to take their side’s total to 277/7 in 40 overs.
In reply, Starlets CC were folded for 121 in 39th over. Ashish picked 3 for 20 for Walkertown.
