KPL: Mysuru Warriors to face Hubli Tigers in semis

Rockstars' star captain Kichcha Sudeep announced his retirement from KPL on Friday.

Hubballi: Unbeaten Mysuru Warriors’ will take on hosts Hubli Tigers in the semifinals of the KPL-5 here on Saturday.

In another last four clash, Belagavi Panthers face Bellary Tuskers. In the final league clash on Friday, Mysuru thrashed Namma Shivamogga by eight wickets in a rain-affected game to top table with 14 points while Panthers finished second with a distant eight.

Meanwhile, Rockstars’ star captain Kichcha Sudeep announced his retirement from KPL on Friday.

Brief scores: Namma Shivamogga: 125/7 in 20 overs (David Mathais 26, Pradeep Gangadhar 25, J Suchith 2 /15. K Gowtham 2/12) lost to Mysuru Warriors: 125/2 in 16.3 overs (Rajoo Bhatkal 83 n.o, Anirudha Joshi 31) by 8 wickets.

Hubli Tigers: 184/7 in 18 overs (Mohd. Taha 59, Kunal Kapoor 27, Dikshanshu Negi 25, Kranthi Kumar 33) bt Rockstars: 99/5 in 18 overs (V. Rajeev 34, Rahul RK 37) by 85 runs.
