Junior Nationals badminton: Krishna, Navaneeth and Vishnu champions

In the Under 17 boys final, Vishnuvardhan paired with Navaneeth Boka to carve out a 21-14, 21-13 victory

Hyderabad: Telangana’s Sri Krishna Sai Kumar Podile and his partner Vishnu Goud Panjala defeated D. Sanjai Srivatsa & Siddharth Elango in the U-19 boys doubles final 21-16, 21-19 to win the Junior Nationals badminton doubles title that concluded in Guwahati on Monday.

In the Under 17 boys final, Vishnuvardhan paired with Navaneeth Boka to carve out a 21-14, 21-13 victory over Dhruv Rawat & Akash Yadav to emerge champions.Meanwhile, in the Under 19 mixed doubles, Sri Krishna and Rutaparna Panda finished runners-up after going down 21-23, 18-21 in a hard fought summit clash.

Under 19 boy’s doubles final: Sri Krishna Sai Kumar Podile/ P. Vishnuvardhan Goud (TS, 1) bt Sanjai Srivatsa (PY) bt Siddharth Elango (TS, 2) 21-16, 21-19.
Under 19 mixed doubles final: Sri Krishna Sai Kumar Podile (TS)/ Rutaparna Panda (ORI, 1) lost to Krishna Prasad G. (AP)/ Mithula UK (AI, 5) 21-23, 18-21.
Under 19 girl’s doubles final: Rutaparna Panda (ORI)/ Mithula U.K (AI, 1) bt Simran Singh (MAH)/ Ritika Thaker (MAH, 2) 21-14, 21-13.
Under-17 boy’s doubles final: P. Vishnuvardhan Goud/ Navaneeth Bokka (TS, 2)/ bt Dhruv Rawat (UTR)/ Akash Yadav (DLI, 6) 21-14, 21-13.
Under-17 girl’s doubles final: Trisha Hedge (KTK)/ Drithi Yatheesh (KTK, 5) bt Keyura Mopati (TS)/ Kavipriya S. (PY, 6) 19-21, 21-15, 22-20.
