Singapore Super Series: B Sai Praneeth's gesture towards Kidambi Srikanth wins hearts

B Sai Praneeth handed one Indian flag to Kidambi Srikanth in a gesture to celebrate triumph of the Indian badminton.

Singapore: B Sai Praneeth became only the fourth Indian after Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth to have won a Super Series event as he clinched the Singapore Super Series on Sunday.

Praneeth defeated compatriot and Pullela Gopichand academy practice partner Kidambi Srikanth 17-21, 21-17, 21-12 to win the all-India final.

While Praneeth was delighted to have won his first Super Series event, what he did right before he moved to the podium has won everyone’s hearts.

Praneeth managed to get hold of two Indian flags and handed one over to Srikanth. Praneeth was also seen consoling compatriot as the Indian duo celebrated their success.

Praneeth did not forget to congratulate Srikanth “for a wonderful tournament” in his Instagram post as he wrote: “So very happy#1st superseries title#thank u all for ur lovely wishes and support#and congrats to @srikanth_kidambi for a wonderful tournament.”
