While NASA is streaming live videos from its ISS (International Space Station), which orbits the Earth almost 16 times each day, some reports by YouTubers state that NASA is still hiding something from us. According to them, a UFO is closing in on Earth and NASA seems to be covering up the footage.
According to a report filed by Popular Mechanics, a YouTuber spotted a disturbing fact about a possible ‘alien’ entering the Earth’s atmosphere. The claim states that when NASA was streaming a live footage from the ISS on July 9, an object, that he claims is 100 per cent alien, was seen near our planet. However, he continues, NASA cut off the feed. The YouTuber Streetcap1, says that it could be a meteor too.
The video was quickly picked up by dozens of YouTube channels and many well-known media and scientific sources were on the case. Popular Mechanics went ahead to get a few answers from NASA for their questions about the incident. "We have never seen UFOs in the popular sense," said a NASA spokesperson, after a long, deep sigh. "The feed in question is the High Definition Earth Viewing experiment. Anytime the ISS has a signal, that feed is sending down video."
But when the High Definition Earth Viewing system loses signal, the video stream goes dark. "The feed is not switched manually," said the spokesperson. "It's all done automatically. There's nobody at a control board. We used a space-based data relay network. It gives us a very good coverage area, but you do lose signal occasionally—anywhere from a couple of seconds to a couple of minutes. It varies from day to day."
Though the feed blanking out is what NASA would want you to believe, the main question is about the strange light in the video. Though there are lots of explanations on the light, such as reflection on the lens, radiation hitting the HD sensor of the High Definition Earth Viewing system, a satellite in the vicinity, a meteor, debris circling the planet, and more, the issue is who is going to believe NASA’s statement.
For now, we only have YouTube videos with scary sound tracks to vouch on. But for sure, there are a bunch of NASA scientists who definitely know what’s going on out there.
