All those waiting for the first Starbucks chain in India will have their prayers answered by August or September this year, the Seattle-based franchise has assured. They are aiming to open around 50 outlets all over the country by the end of the year. Initially Starbucks had planned to start their Indian ventures by mid-2011 but it took longer than they had thought, because of the challenges in real estate. The first two Starbucks outlet will open in Mumbai and New Delhi. The international chain has entered into a 50-50 partnership with the Tata group to facilitate their business in the sub-continent. Inspite of India’s new rules of allowing foreign brands to wholly operate their outlets, Starbucks don’t want to go back on their decision.
