The annual Brahmotsav-ams of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara of Srinivasa Mangapuram will be conducted on par with the Srivari Brahmotsavams of Tirumala in a grand manner, said TTD EO L.V. Subrahmanyam.
Reviewing with officials in the TTD kalyanamandapam at Srinivasa Mangapu-ram on Saturday, the EO said that the TTD had witnessed an unprecedented turnout of devotees during the Srivari Brahmotsava-ms, Ammavari Brahmotsa-vams and the recent Ratha Saptami festival.
“In a similar way, we should organise the Kal-yana Venkateswara Swa-my temple Brahmotsavams also without any compromise. Give wide publicity in all the surrounding villages, hamlets with the help of local bhajan mandalis, village panchayat heads, revenue and panchayat officials,” he directed the officials.
He said that publicity po-sters, pamphlets and small books explaining the importance of Sthala Purana of the temple would be distributed in villages. “We will also arrange Harati points for each department during the procession of various vaha-nams as part of the Brah-motsavams,” he added.
Later, speaking to media persons, the EO said, “We are also arranging special buses for locals and visiting pilgrims. Floral and electrical arrangements will be made in a grand manner to give a festive look to the entire temple town. We appeal to the media to give wide publicity so that more pilgrims take part in the celestial event and get the blessings of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara,” he added.
