The four-member sub-committee and the junior doctors met at the Secretariat on Thursday evening. However, according to the junior doctors, the talks “failed.”
They complained against the “aggressive attitude of the government” and its decision to not reduce rural service from two to one year, nor hike the stipends of doctors beyond what was already decided in an earlier order.
Dr G. Aditya, vice-president of JAC, Osmania General Hospital, said, “The talks have failed again and we will be continuing with our boycott of elective duties.”
