The Telangana Joint Action Committee will resume its agitation for the creation of a separate Telangana state from April and target the Congress and the Telugu Desam parties, which it considers as the main obstacles to the bifurcation of the state. TJAC convener M. Kodandaram said on Saturday, “Our goal is Telangana and we will fight till it is achieved. We have taken into consideration the inconvenience caused to students in March due to examinations and so decided to in-tensify the stir in April.”
“Our main targets will those who are creating obstacles in carving out Telangana, Seemandhra looters and those supporting them from Telangana region. The Centre has buckled under the pressure of Seemandhra looters who will be taught a bitter lesson,” said Prof. Kodandaram, who chaired the two-day meeting.
The meeting, which was attended by TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya and others, decided to complete district JAC meetings by January 27, organise picketing of collectorates on January 31. ‘Telangana Sadhana bus yatra’ will be organised from February 1, Prof. Kodandaram said.
