When Shah Rukh Khan called Priyanka Chopra his junglee billi in Don 2,the chemistry between the two actors was sizzling, to say the least.
And allegedly, the women in SRK’s life (read wife Gauri, close friend Juhi Chawla et al) were not at all comfortable with it at all.
News of SRK and PC’s “growing closeness first” broke during the release of Don 2, but both denied being anything more than good friends.
And there the matter would have ended, except for a website which now says it has photos of the two stars leaving SRK’s office building together — at 3 am. While there has been no statement forthcoming from either SRK or PC regarding the incident, these reports certainly won’t be winning PC any brownie points with those who don’t like her friendship with the King Khan, our sources claim.
In fact, in what is being construed by many in the industry as a direct dig at PC, Juhi had tweeted, “Driving to Juhu now ... on the way is a huge SCREEN AWARDS hoarding… With a pouting Priyanka In the tiniest of blouses...please someone tell why does a respected screen award for excellence in cinema need such a marketing gimmick???” The comment comes even as a lot of talk in the industry has been centred on PC losing out on the Queen Bee spot among actresses. But she isn’t too worried, if her remarks are any indication.
While PC has earlier said that she doesn’t care about what others think of her, professionally, she had admitted that the speculation around her cinematic standing had hurt her.
“But then I just think of all the projects I have and am doing, and I feel better,” she had reportedly said. Well, here’s hoping this junglee billi gets over this latest controversy too.
