England footballer Steven Gerrard’s belated Christmas party ran into trouble after cops landed at his doorstep following a complaint from a neighbour. According to the Sun, a neighbour reported loud music coming from the £3 million house and the cops were called at 4 am on Sunday after a complaint about noise. The Liverpool star, 31, is thought to have arranged the bash attended by his teammates as a belated Christmas party.
A club insider said: “A load of players were there and they all brought their WAGs. Stevie’s missus Alex looked like a million dollars and all the girls were glammed up. “It was a great night. There was a big marquee in the garden, fire-eaters and other entertainers, including girls dancing in giant Martini glasses. “Everyone had a brilliant time and the party carried on even after the police left — but with the music turned down. There were still people there at 4.30 in the morning.”
Merseyside Police said on Sunday: “We got a report of loud music from a house. A patrol spoke to the organiser, who agreed to turn the music down.” A few days ago, Gerrard ensured to end his career at Liverpool after signing a new deal that will involve an ambassadorial role when he stops playing.
