Word on the street has it that the actress has rented a posh apartment in the high-end Boat Club Colony, opposite Hotel Park Sheraton in Chennai, and is slowly settling down in her new neighbourhood. She is staying alone because her parents are reluctant to move out of Kerala. In fact, the actress bought a swanky sea-view apartment in Cochin sometime ago and personally did up the space to her satisfaction. However, she has given it up since Chennai is her new destination.
With her long-pending marriage to director Prabhu Deva nearing the deadline in January or February, the actress has resolved to lead a peaceful married life in Chennai. “Her mother and her father accompanied her for her first few films, but she managed on her own later. Of course, she invested in some properties in Chennai and bought a few vacant plots during her rocking K-town innings, but she was never interested in a flat,” says a source close to her. The source also adds that the actress wants to prove a point or two to her pessimistic detractors who were speculating about her relationship with the dancing sensation and intends to establish that her decision is “right and rocking”.
