Four people died when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling was hit by a lorry at the four road junction on the Adoni bypass road on Thursday.
Police said that the accident occurred when 11 persons from Basapuram were coming in the autorickshaw to Adoni.
Urukundappa, 45, Thikkanna, 48, Kona-puram Gangamma, 50, died on the spot.
Tippamma, who was seriously injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment in the local hospital.
Chinna Eeranna, Yellamma, Venkatesh (driver) and Erragudi Gangamma, who were seriously injured in the accident, were shifted to the hospital.
The lorry driver, who fled from the spot, was taken into custody. The police registered a case and took up investigation.
