In the fitness of things

Adra

Adra Davis Ambazhakkadan grew up watching the triumphs and heartbreaks on the beauty podiums. Aged 17 and pursuing plus two, the Thrissur girl is now an aerobics instructor and dreams of being a beauty queen some day.

Last March, she took a step closer to her dream by winning the Miss Kerala Asian Fitness contest organised by the Kerala Body Building and Fitness Association and Angamaly Leehans health club in Kochi.

In fact, she considers fitness as important as beauty. “I believe beauty is not enough to be a complete model,” Adra says. “Having a fit body will bring out the best in you.

For me, aerobics was the best way to achieve good body shape and to become self-confident,” she adds. Of course, her job as an instructor brings some pocket money too.

She has been in the modeling world since her high school days and has been featured in ads and magazines. Adra will walk the ramp of Vivel India Miss South at Chennai on December 23. Dancing and anchoring are her other interests, besides athletics.
