Amit Burman is the vice-chairman of Dabur India Ltd.
Q) Are you a regular investor?
Yes, I am a regular investor. I would love to call myself a serial investor too, looking at not just investment opportunities in stock markets and property, but also in new business ventures.
Q) Who advises you in your investment strategy?
I have a core team of advisors who help me around with investment advises. Also, I go with my gut feel in certain businesses.
Q) One investment mantra you follow.
Always do your own research before betting your hard earned money.
Q) Do you prefer bank FDs, property, mutual funds or something else?
Among these, I prefer property and mutual funds. But, as I mentioned, I also invest in companies and ventures which I feel will fetch good returns in years to come.
Q) Would you define yourself as a conservative, a risk taker or a bit of both?
A bit of both. With stock market investments, I am more conservative, looking at sound investments and blue chips mostly. My first big ticket investment was in packaged fruit juices.
