After the much-talked about remake of the sensuous Rathinirvedam, the remake of yet another similar hit film, Inaye Thedi, is all set to create waves.
The original movie featured the late south siren, Silk Smitha, in the lead. The movie will be remade by debutant director Bharathraj.
As per initial reports, the filmmaker has not yet finalised the protagonist for the movie, which will mostly be a leading actress from the Tamil film industry.
Inaye Thedi was a popular work of the 80s, which had renowned film personalities of today making their debut in the movie. Filmmaker Antony Eastman, music director Johnson and scriptwriter Johny Paul are some of the prominent names who entered the film industry through the film.
Produced by Karton Lewis, under the banner of Lewis Karton films, the remake of Inaye Thedi will go on the floors in August. It will be shot at select locations in Ooty.
